Patrick McBride wears many hats in CEO. He is owner of The McBride Agency, which has donated to several CEO events, he is a mentor, and parent of a prior student (Morgan, class of 2022). Last week he put on his speaker hat and talked to the students about the importance of having a mission, and how his personal mission statement has shaped who he is personally and professionally. “Hope through suffering” was a common theme, and something he provides his clients in the insurance industry. The students wrote down lots of notes including:
Failure will teach you more than success ever will.
Experience without evaluation is just entertainment.
Success builds confidence, failure builds character.
