Woodlawn Arts Academy programming began in 2005 and quickly grew from average annual registrations of 42 to 4500 today. Christy Zepezauer, Executive Director, shared these and other facts during her opening comments to Tuesday's CEO East and West classes. After a tour, students experienced three simple forms of art--visual, theatrical, and musical. In addition, Woodlawn offers classes in dance, preschool, and culinary and is a supplemental resource for area schools. We appreciate the time from Becky Rich, Program Director, who led an art challenge of positive affirmation and Janel Stahr, Graphic Artist, who directed the boom-whacker session. Christy worked with students who acted out emotions, which was a great reminder of how much our body language tells others what we are communicating.
