While the East and West food business owners for the CEO trade show spent time at the Kitchen Incubator of NW Illinois, all other students received a lesson on Dining Etiquette. They were challenged to set a table properly, but more importantly understand detailed rules once you step up to a formally set table. Basic rules of courtesy such as arrival times, thank you notes/gifts, offering an "arm" to assist elderly or others were covered. Knowing what what all that flatware means and what to expect with various serves style was also discussed. Lastly, student ate their donuts practicing European style (no holding forks and knives like cavemen) and each table nominated someone to give a toast, after discussing what one might include at a CEO celebration.
