Both East and West CEO classes met at Elevate, a local youth center, which is under the umbrella of the Sterling Township, headed by Township Supervisor, Angie Schneider. Heather Waninger, who works for the Regional Office of Education as well as oversees Elevate, welcomed students. The versatile space is available to rent and houses afterschool programs for Jr. and Sr. high school students. The CEO Halloween party included breakfast, games, and creative elevator pitches related to the students’ costumes. Ricky Bobby scooter and Broom Zoom if you “wanna go fast”, Dalmatian treats to entice, tacos, pizza, bagels, and more were delivered by chickens, farmers, turtles, rappers, Mr. Clean, Cruella and others. In the end, the question, “What are the parts of good pitch?” was answered, preparing students for sales of their class business ideas and later, individual business products and services.
