Frantz Manufacturing has been in business well over an impressive 100 years through war, recessions, and the every changing global business challenges of today. Robert Urbanski and Anita Carney, Frantz Human Resources, shared the details of how a local, family-owned company stayed viable by diversifying, creating new and improved products, developing patents, addressing new customer needs, and thinking creatively about their role in a changing world. Great example, during World War II Frantz asked the government how they could help. The answer was the manufacturing of millions of military cots and a handle for ammunition cases, which resulted in 3 government recognitions for their contributions to the war effort. It was a great day to focus on the ability to create and pivot. Oh, and then there was the highly competitive Family Feud game to check students' knowledge...yes, the boys won.
