About Me

MaryKay Downs is currently a senior at Newman Central Catholic High School. She is a blind leader, kairos leader, and participates in key club, student council, and other school organizations. She’s also involved in varsity cheerleading, volleyball, and competitive dance at Cassie’s Dance Academy. She plans on possibly majoring in business at the University of Illinois Urbana- Champaign after high school. MaryKay also has many responsibilities outside of school such as being a dance teacher at CDA and being an active volunteer in her church, Sacred Heart in Sterling. In her free time she likes to spend time with her friends and family. MaryKay also enjoys traveling and exploring new places. She chose to participate in CEO to get out of her comfort zone, make new connections, and to improve her communication skills.
