Tuesday brought Bailey Russell, CEO Class of 2015, to the West Class where she shared her knowledge as Global, Product Marketing Specialist for Wahl Clipper. There was lots of information to absorb, but the bottom line is: branding is everything! She works to make sure marketing projects, be it packaging, videos, photos, etc. represent the Wahl brand as a grounded, mature (105 yo company), superpower company. Much effort and research has gone into color, font, design, etc. to accomplish that goal. In addition, she described the marketing funnel: awareness, consideration, and purchase. And finally, she challenged each team to create a brand, identifying the vibe, colors, logo, etc. and a descriptive persona of a client. The results: Aqua Dreams, Huizenga Pumpkin Patch, Embassy Cheesecake, Seaside Sensations.
