Chris Hammitt has been a State Farm agent for 25 years, and it was so inspiring to see the passion he has for his career, staff, and community. The students began by running through a scenario of what happened back before insurance existed, and the risks associated with traveling and owning property. It was a great activity to show the importance of sharing liability. While Chris’s office spends a majority of their time in the home and auto industry, he stressed the importance of life insurance. We finished the session by discussing all of the possible careers you can have in the insurance industry; including underwriting, IT, accounting, and law.
